Web Application
This topic is all about types of webs, generation of web,
types of PL, Web based collaboration tools. First, I learnt that internet and
web are different. As our lecturer explain, internet is a network that can
connect people/ organization all over the world while web is a service of
internet( collection of HTML). There are two type of web. Those are :
- Static Web- Read only web (web 1.0)
- - Dynamic
Web- where users can read and edit the content (web 1.0 and web 3.0)

Besides that, there a 3 generation of web:
Generations of web
1. 1st generation: Web 1.0- which do not allow visitors to
contribute. Only the web admins can edit the content. The web is in HTML
coding. Examples of web 1.0 are informational websites, educational websites,
and company websites.
2. 2nd generation: Web 2.0- it is the popular term for
advanced internet technology and applications. It is the combination of
technology allowing users to interact with information.
3. 3rd generation:
Web 3.0: It is about semantic web based on intelligent web applications use
machine-based learning and reasoning and intelligent applications. E.g.,
Decision Support System, Expert System Portal.
