DATA AND INFORMATION
In first class
we introduced our self, after that My
lecturer started our lesson. Unlike other lectures, Ms. NIsha started the class
by asking all student to write the meaning of data and information. Then, she
called individual to answer the question. And I was one of them. Somehow I
managed to answer her question. Then, Our lecturer gave us an introduction and
after that we had a brief introduction to Information Technology. Secondly, we
had brainstorming on the topics of Data and Information. It was useful for us
recall the essential part of IT. After, we learnt new topic the economics and problems
associated with Information Management.
I have learnt the definition for data, Data is a collection
of facts, figures and statistics related to an object. If not understand with
definition of data I mention above, there are another easier definition for the
data, it is data is a raw facts. Data can be changed to many forms such
numbers, text, image, characters, symbols, pictures. Then, I learnt about the
information. The definition for the information is data, that is organized and
meaningful. Information always is used to making and decision. In the processing
in the computer data is used as input and information is used as output. First
the process will takes place by data form to information, then the information
form to knowledge for computer user.
Then, we also learnt what I had learnt in introduction in computer
and internet, such as 6 types of computers and evolution of computers.
